Dentures

Dentures allow you to live a normal life even after you have lost all or most of your teeth. They support your cheeks and lips and can make you look younger and healthier. Advances in denture techniques and ongoing technology have greatly improved the fit and appearance of modern dentures. Dr. Gregg and Dr. Bradd Testerman excel in creating natural-looking dentures, and they will work with you to create your ideal smile.

Types of Dentures
Traditional Dentures – Traditional dentures contain artificial teeth on an acrylic, gum-colored base. They’re removable and replace all of the teeth. When you visit Testerman Dental for dentures, you will select the shade and shape of your teeth, and you will also have a “try-in” appointment before your dentures are finished to make sure they look and feel as natural as possible.

Partial Dentures – A partial denture replaces the gaps caused by missing teeth no matter where they occur in your smile. Partial dentures are a great option for patients who have some healthy teeth remaining. Your partial denture will be removable and made from a lightweight material that mimics your gum tissue and teeth to completely restore your smile. The partial denture will also preserve the bone structure and integrity of your existing teeth by preventing them from shifting and tilting toward the gaps created by your missing teeth.

Implant-Retained Dentures – While typical dentures shift and require the use of denture adhesives to keep them in place, dental implants fit solidly — reducing the problems associated with traditional dentures, such as gum sores and difficulty speaking and chewing. Implant-supported dentures distribute your biting pressure more like natural teeth than traditional dentures do — stimulating the supportive structures of your teeth and preventing the bone and soft tissues from shrinking away. Dr. Testerman also offers mini dental implants for patients who can’t withstand full-size implants.
